This luxury family-friendly retreat is perfect for families with children of all ages, located in south-west of France in the Lot in the Midi-Pyrénées, a region home to many rich and diverse places to visit.
La Ferme du Cayla is home to six luxury cottages all with private terraces. This child-friendly holiday resort is like a small village, with plenty of activities on site to keep every family member happy. Whether you are looking for a simple quiet family holiday or would like to challenge yourselves to lots of new activities, there is something for everyone.
There is an outdoor swimming pool, paddling pool for littlies and a heated indoor pool which has the natural added bonus of beautiful views across the Cele Valley. The spa and wellness centre is perfect for a little down time for parents, with the sauna, steam room, relaxation room and treatment room, you can book a treatment any time. There is an outdoor Jacuzzi also with magnificent views of the valley which stays open late at night.
During high season there are two children’s clubs included in the all-inclusive packages (these also run out of season at an extra cost). Babies from three months to 3 years and kids from 3 to 10 years. There is also a mini golf course just a few metres from the main Village Square. There are plenty of areas and activities for toddlers in older explorers around the retreat, swings, sandpit, games, treehouses, table tennis, trampoline and a zip wire too.
The main Village Square at La Ferme du Cayla is home to a boules court, pretty fountain and flowerbeds, reminiscent of traditional French Village Squares.
There are also farm animals to feed, breads to bake and fishing to be done!
The owners, James and Olivia have thought of all the services which parents could possibly need to make the most of a luxury family holiday in France, babysitting, free Wi-Fi, wine and food tastings, yoga excursions and more and the resort concierge team can arrange everything for you.
June, July, and August is full board and weekly stays only
School holidays throughout the year have all activities including kids club. They offer breakfast in the morning but not lunch or dinner.
New Years Eve is full board with a gala dinner and fireworks
The rest of the year, all services are open and the cottages are rented out on a self-catering basis. No activities included, however, owners can organise a babysitter, massages or yoga on demands.

Grand Charme House:
This is the largest house at La Ferme du Cayla ideal for up to 10 guests. Ground floor - Fully equipped kitchen, dining room with open fireplace, lounge, children’s playroom with a small bed and cot if required and the master bedroom with bathroom. First floor - 2x master suites, one with en-suite facilities, a children’s bedroom and a bathroom with separate WC
The Laurier:
A stone house for 6-8 guests. All on one floor this child-friendly holiday home has: Three en-suite bedrooms with extra beds on mezzanine
Acacia House:
This is a charming house ideal for up to 6 guests. There are two bedrooms plus the mezzanine with two bunk beds a fully equipped kitchen and living room with inglenook fireplace and two terraces.
The Lila Cottage:
This is a split-level cottage for 4 to 5 guests the terrace offers review of the Village Square. The main ground floor has kitchen which opens to the dining area and bedroom with bathroom (shower and bath). The first floor has two further bedrooms and the mezzanine area to enjoy quiet times.
Dahlia Cottage:
This split-level cottage has three bedrooms I can accommodate 4 to 6 guests. The ground floor features a modern kitchen opening into a dining area. Also, on this floor are the children’s bedrooms with bunkbeds and toilets. The first floor has two spacious bedroom and bathroom with bath and separate toilet. The private covered terrace opens onto the village main square.
Rose Cottage:
This final cottage is also split level and it can accommodate six guests in three bedrooms. The ground floor has a modern kitchen opening to dining area and the children’s bedroom fitted with bunkbeds. The other floor has two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom bar tab and separate toilets. The terrace is uncovered and overlooks the village Main Square.
Baby equipment available in all cottages and daily cleaning service also have barbecues and private terraces.
