Overview - Knowle Farm
A beautiful family-friendly farm stay that dates back to the 17th Century, with six cottages that have been lovingly converted from barns to a high standard. Knowle Farm is situated in South Devon set across 44 acres of beautiful countryside with its own woodland and riverside to explore.
The facilities here are endless, whatever the weather, you will not want to leave. There is an indoor swimming pool, with six large south facing patio windows overlooking the pond. The play barn has a soft play area for children aged 5 and under. Older children and adults will enjoy the table tennis table and pool table.
If you fancy getting out and about for some fresh air, head to the walk-in rabbit area and toddler ‘racetrack’. This area is home to ride on toys, a fun tractor tyre tunnel, rubberised play surface and not forgetting the walk-in rabbit/guinea pig enclosure. Perfect for all ages, there is an outdoor games area with a goal, balls, croquet sets and a purpose-built boules court. Guests can also play on the 6 hole adventure golf course.
What is so special about this place are the lovely farm animals that live here. Little ones can meet and feed the pigs, Fred and Dinky or even the miniature donkey Robin and the Dartmoor pony Pete. Not forgetting the sheep, ducks, turkeys and cockerel.
The farm is in a great location with the local pub just a 15-minute walk away, serves fab food and is child-friendly. Want to stay in but don’t want to cook? no worries, hand-made ready meals and ice cream are locally sourced from other farmers in Devon and are available to purchase from the farm.
Dartmoor National park is on the doorstep and sandy beaches are just 30 minutes away.
Environmental policy: Knowle Farm is a member of the Green Tourism Business Scheme, and such meet the minimum requirements set by environmental law. Some of the measures they have in place are established wildlife and woodland areas, 10KW solar system providing enough electricity for the whole farm on a sunny day and more.
