Homemade travel game for children of all ages – I Spy jar

Last week we had some travelling to do in the car. Generally our four year old is pretty good when we go on holiday or spend any length of time in the car. We usually find something that occupies him in short bursts! Nothing lasts too long but then he is only four! Colouring books and pens, reading books, Ipad and a good game of I Spy or twenty questions always goes down well too!

A few days before we were due to set off it was still the school holidays and so Freddie was at home. We love getting out but this day was horrendous! As have been most days so far this year, the rain just kept coming so we decided to do some crafts.

We went on a treasure hunt around the house to find a collections of small toys, knickknacks and jewels and made an I Spy jar.

Freddie loved it! He loved the fact he made it himself and when we went on our weekend holiday to Granny and Pops it proved a winner both in the car and home. If you would like to try one visit our blog to see how we did it. There are lots of great travel I spy games for children from home made to bought, we list a few on our family travel blog.
