New on holiday Tots: fabulous child-friendly holiday villa in the Mar Menor Golf resort Murcia, Spain.

This lovely two bedroom villa is ideal for a family of four. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one being an en-suite) a kitchen that has a large serving hatch and doorway leading to the open plan living/dining area.

The patio doors lead out to the garden area, which is mainly laid to lawn and is fully enclosed - so ideal for babies and toddlers toes and knees! There is a roof terrace via the external stairs from the garden, these can be gated for families on holiday with young children.

The Mar Menor Golf resort is situated on the Costa Calida, Murcia which is known for its mild climate (one of the mildest in Spain) and so it is ideal for family holidays, especially for families with babies and young children who are looking for some out of season sunshine. It is a holiday resort with swimming pools, sports facilities including a fabulous golf course and tennis courts.

The region of the Costa Calida is steeped in history and is a land of contrasts. It lies to the South West of Spain and enjoys a tropical climate due to its close proximity to Africa. The beaches are calm and child friendly especially in the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor is a salty lagoon, separated by the sea by a large sand bar which is some 22km in length and so creates the perfect conditions for babies and toddlers wanting to enjoy some sand castle building and splashing about.

We visited the region in October and enjoyed temperatures in the mid to high 70s it was perfect for all the family especially our four year old who just loved the sea and the pools in the resort.
