In March 2011 Les and Louise Nicholson, and their youngest daughter Ellie who is now 10 years old, moved from their lovely home in rural France back to the UK and to West Sussex where they have spent the past three years creating the Artisan Bakehouse and a collection of wonderful child-friendly holiday cottages.
Today (4th March 2014) they open their beautiful bakehouse and tearooms to the public where the wood oven will be serving freshly baked bread, delicious lunches and yummy handmade cakes. Their spring opening times are Tues, Weds and Thursday 12-5pm throughout March and until 3rd April.
Guests staying at one of the lovely child-friendly holiday cottages within the grounds or nearby family cottage in Steyning can enjoy a 10% discount at the Bakehouse and Tea Barn throughout March, and if you fancy a pamper their resident Neals Yard therapist will be offering 10% off all her treatments too!
If you trot on down today you will not only be able to savour some early spring treats but also a have a pancake or two too!
They have two lovely holiday cotttages within the same grounds as the tea barn and bake house each offering all the facilities and items a family holidaying with a baby or toddler could want. There is also a swimming pool within the gardens. Les and Louise also have a family friendly holiday cottage in the village of Steyning. All properties are ideal for families and can share the facilities at the bakehouse. They are pefectly positioned to explore West Sussex and Steyning is accessible by train from London, so perfect for a short car free break!
