A new arrival for the Watkins family…

Congratulations to holiday property owners, the Watkins family (mum Jo, dad Davey and their children, Polly, Jinks and Tom) on their new arrival, baby Meg who joined the family this summer.

Baby Meg’s arrival didn’t stop the annual tradition of escaping to their family holiday house in Wales with magnificent sea views, in fact it reinforced to mum Jo, just how perfect the house is for ‘3 generation’ family holidays.

Over 10 years ago Granny Mandy secured an annual two week slot renting a wonderful holiday house by the sea for all the family to enjoy. This was the beginning of Mandy taking her children and all her grandchildren away together every summer. This was always diarised, sacred, family time which was cherished by the whole family. This year was no exception and was particularly special as it was the family’s first year of actually owning the property.

Mandy enjoyed her two weeks holidaying, just as she has every year, except this time she was joined by their youngest new addition, Meg, her 9th grandchild who was only a week old when the family made their annual pilgrimage out west! We love the attached image of Granny Mandy and Meg.

Jo said ‘Having a baby here this year just reinforced to us what a wonderful spot it is for mixed age families and groups. Although I was more limited in the things I could do in terms of kayaking, rock jumping, swimming etc I was able to watch the bigger kids from the beach or the window seats while nursing the baby. I could still be a part of the hustle and bustle but could take myself away for well-needed naps and peace! The house absorbs people even better than before. The new huge picnic table at the front of the house and the patio area at the back were a great addition.

Mandy (Granny) had not seen the house since our renovations and we both felt quite nervous about how she would feel about it as she loved it just how it was. She said that rather than a nice house in an amazing location we had created a fantastic house in an amazing location.

Meg is our 4th child and has been welcomed with very keen open arms by the other kids. They are all so lovely with her. Our daughter, Polly who is 8, was thrilled to have a little sister and Jinks and Tom are being very caring and sweet big brothers. She seems very placid and relaxed but I guess she has no choice!’

If you are looking for a fab family-friendly holiday cottage, with amazing sea views and all the facilities and equipment for babies and toddlers on hand too, why not take a look. The house has six bedrooms and is ideal for up to 12 guests. It overlooks Tresaith beach in Wales and is perfect for a group/family holiday.

We love this house too and hope to holiday ourselves there very soon!
