• Le Bournat (le village, la vie, la fête en 1900) - This is a great place for a family day out; a historical theme park showing how people would have lived in years gone by. There are demonstrations of many crafts and skills including baking of bread, blacksmith, pottery, lacemaking, beer making. Wonderfully lay out with an old fashioned fairground, farmyard, working windmill, shops and authentic park areas with plenty of things for the children to see and do. Quite a large area of land but all on the flat so suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. (1h 15min)
• Parc Aquarium du Périgord Noir - With more than 3 million litres of water and over 6 000 specimens of fish, the Parc Aquarium du Périgord Noir is unquestionably the largest private outdoor freshwater aquarium. There you will meet the lords of our rivers as well as tropical fish along a 300 meter course of glass window. (1h 15min)
• La Maison Forte de Reignac - Larger than one might suspect when seen from the outside, the front conceals impressive underground and elevated chambers, the main hall, arms room, kitchen, bedchambers, chapel, cell, dungeon and cellar. Exceptionally well preserved and entirely furnished with period furniture, it is the only completely intact “cliff castle” monument in France. (1h 26min)
• Grottes du Roc du Cazelle - Discover in this astonishing prehistoric park how the lifestyle of our distant ancestors has been reconstructed, in the actual place where they once lived some 12,000 years ago. (1h 18min)
• Reserve Zoologique de Calviac - A collection of fascinating and endangered animals in beautiful surroundings. A chance to get very close to many of them. The people running the park are passionate about the animals and their conservation - well worth a visit. (1h 25min)
• Le Caillau - Restaurant/ pottery café (20min)
• Les P’tits Castors - A fun soft play centre with three interconnecting bouncy castles, ball pools, climbing ropes, swing balls and much, much more! A small area for younger children has a ball pool, slide and mini climbing frame. Adults are well looked after with tables and chairs, magazines, newspapers and even a large plasma TV. The café sells a selection of snacks, treats, ice creams, hot and cold drinks and other refreshments. Fun day out for the whole family.(1h 30min)
• Château de Bridoire - An amazing place that has been rescued by the French people after years of neglect, vandalising and looting. It is as interesting to see the un-renovated rooms as it is to visit those restored back to their historical best. There are many really interesting medieval games for children + adults alike, dressing up and cross bow shooting. (1h 25min)
• Walabi Aquitaine - Open air theme park near Agen for children of all ages. There are a variety of rides and attractions as well as restaurants and theatre shows. (45min)
• Jacquou Parc - Three in one amusement park. An animal farm, a permanent funfair with a lot of attractions and a water paradise with swimming pools and slides. (1h 15min)
• Château de Bonaguil - This is our nearest castle and very much worth a visit. It is considered by the French to be the most beautiful fortified castle in France. (25min)
• Parc-en-Ciel - This translates to “Park in the Sky” and as the name suggests a lot of the activities are nearer the sky than they are the ground! There are seven rope courses laid out linking the trees (ranging for those suitable for 3 year olds and up to the thrill seeking adult). Also on site is an adventure playground, a mini golf course, a small farm and a snail museum. (30min)
