• National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth PL4 0LF - Tip for lunch – leave the aquarium and cross the bridge into the harbour where you will find lots of restaurants – we usually go to The Pasta bar which does delicious homemade pizzas and pasta 45mins drive
• Kidz World, St Austell PL25 3RP - This is a big indoor play area designed for adults and children– 20mins drive
• Maritime Museum, Falmouth TR11 3QY - This museum is fascinating even if you are not into boats and the way they have done it is very toddler friendly with lots of long walkways for them to walk/run along. There is even a large indoor pool with remote control boats to play with - 1 hours’ drive
• Porfell Animal Land PL14 4RE - This is a small sanctuary with lemurs, monkeys, zebras, meercats etc a small farm and children’s play area. It is charming and is run by a lovely couple who do everything themselves and rescue animals from all over the country. 30 mins drive
• Newquay Zoo, TR7 2NN - The Camel Trail runs for miles. If you have your own bikes then start at Bodmin but you can get on at Wadebridge where there are loads of Bike hire shops . Most popular is to ride from Wadebridge to Padstow and back. Easy to hire equipment to accommodate toddlers. – 20 mins
• Cardinham Woods - We love these woods – miles of forest trails and the terrain are perfect for buggies, small children and bike riding. There is children’s play area and café as well as lots of barbeques. It is very pretty pace to go for a picnic and a paddle in the river. 5 mins
• Bodmin & Wenford Railway PL31 1AQ - The whole family will love the excitement of steam travel with a journey back in time on the Railway Cornwall’s only full size railway. It is a leisurely 13 mile round trip through beautiful countryside - 10 mins
• Fowey - Beautiful little fishing village – take a boat ride up the river passed Daphne du Maurier's house for about 45 mins or a ferry over to Polruan on the other side of the river. Lots of nice places to eat. 20 mins
• Go to the Beach - One of the best things about Cornwall is the huge amount of beaches to choose from. Daymer Bay (lots of rock pools). Others include Rock and Polzeath on the North Coast and Porthluney Cove at Caerhays Castle on the South Coast..
