This child-friendly gite in the beautiful Charente- Maritime is set in 10 acres of rural countryside. The kids will enjoy running free making friends (and dens!) in a safe environment, leaving you time to relax in the gardens, courtyard or by the pool-side bar.
The on-site facilities include a large swimming pool with all-weather cover and a great toddler area where they will have play houses, ride-ons and a sandpit to entertain them. The older kids may enjoy the football pitch, zip wire and free bike usage for your stay. Not to worry if the weather isn’t great as there is a covered games area to include a pool table and table tennis.
With so much to do on-site you may not venture that far. The kids club is an optional extra and there are free and some small fee activities available such as horse riding, French tile painting, cake making etc… something for everyone to enjoy and you can join in as much or as little as you like. In May, June and September the kids club concentrate more on suitable activities for the under 5’s.
For the adults – relaxing will definitely be on the agenda. With the kids entertained and busy making new friends you will be able to sit back and socialise yourself with other guests and enjoy the sunshine. The owners hold BBQ nights and camp fire nights too so you can meet and get to know others, these are a real hit and many guests comment about them in their reviews.
Outside the complex you will find many varied activities on offer all within an hour’s drive. La Rochelle is 45 minutes away and you will find the art galleries, harbour and amazing aquarium is worth a visit. The beaches are close too and there’s lots to choose from. Just a 10 minute drive away you will find St Jean d’Angely, which has been named as one of France’s 100 most beautiful villages and Cognac (20 minutes away) is an essential for a guided tour of the distillery’s. You just need to persuade the kids to leave your accommodation!

This property is a beautiful 2 storey barn conversion with modern interior and sleeps up to 4 people. It has a charming open plan sleeping area with exposed beams and a children’s sleeping area (bunk beds) with curtain screen.
There is a large open plan living/dining area and a private terrace overlooking the courtyard with dining set and BBQ.
The family bathroom has a shower.
