Overview - Manoir de Longeveau, Le Chai
Manoir de Longeveau is former Cognac Estate located on the Charente / Dordogne borders with the picturesque town of Aubeterre (recently listed as one of the prettiest villages in France) a short bike ride away. This family-friendly estate has fantastic facilities and is situated close to river beaches, historic sights and a lovely selection of eating establishments. You can really sit back and relax here and be looked after. Enjoy a glass of wine in the clubhouse or a dip in one of the pools.
There is plenty to keep the kids and yourselves entertained here. There are several swimming pools on site, including a children’s splash pool and plenty of sun loungers for Mum and Dad too! All the pools are securely fenced and gated. The sports barn can be used for a variety of sports with a compact tennis court and basketball court for the youngsters. It is also used for other activities and is great for a break from the mid-day sun. The fully fenced children’s play area has swings, a climbing frame and a slide.
There is also a children’s club which has an enclosed garden with a range of toys for the little ones. When the crèche is not in a session, guests are welcome to use the gardens sand pit and outdoor play equipment. The crèche is available from May to early October and is for children aged 0-7 years. It is run by fully qualified staff and gives a welcome break for your little ones (and you possibly!) Next to the bar and terrace you will also find a toddlers play area – great for when you want to have a bite to eat and enjoy the view whilst the kids are safe and having fun. Older children may enjoy the fancy dress box, table tennis, boules and outdoor cinema night.
Adults will love the clubhouse, situated on-site. Lovely views across the countryside and serving some great food and drink. Enjoy an early morning coffee, an afternoon of big screen sport or have a bite to eat on the bars veranda and terraces. Kids are well catered for here, with lunch box style hampers and organic baby food. In high season there are weekly BBQ nights and a children’s bar.
Inside your cottage there is a range of baby/toddler equipment as standard, for example cots, highchairs and stair gates. You may also wish to order a baby pack for your stay so you have access to a hand blender, baby bouncer, pushchair etc… please just enquire when booking, (there is a small fee for these packs) You can also order some essentials for your arrival, such as nappies and wipes, again please just enquire when booking.

Le Chai has 1 bedroom - sleeping 2 + 2 young children
This lovely stone cottage, converted from an old stone farm building at the back of the Manor garden has an open plan living, dining, kitchen area and WC and shower room on the ground floor.
The oak staircase leads to a mezzanine bedroom area overlooking the living area. This cottage is ideal for a couple and young child, but can also accommodate up to four using the sofa bed if necessary.
There is a small terrace at the front and another at the rear with steps leading down to the shared garden and in turn backs onto the golf course.
The shared garden is secure and furnished with sun loungers, outside dining area and BBQ.
