Overview - LHIC
This family-friendly country house hotel is located in 1800 acres of parkland: climb trees, ride bikes and explore. There are lots of child-friendly facilities here including 90 mins per night complimentary kids club for babies, toddlers and children up to eight years old. For older children there is Club Blu where the kids can gather and play the Wii, Xbox, Play Station, air hockey, table tennis and table football, and the cinema room has a daily showing of the latest children’s film at 6pm.
All the family is welcome: in the indoor heated swimming pool, there are floats, pool toys for all ages; and if you want to venture outdoors the hotel is located smack bang in the middle of a National Trust adventure playground complete with swings and climbing frames, trampoline, tennis courts, garden games or just explore on foot or by bike. There is a seven mile hike to enjoy too.
There is an abundance of baby and toddler equipment to borrow from pushchairs to baby carriers, walkers to slings and more. ECots, additional beds, changing mats, mini fridges, bottle warmers etc are all at no extra cost. The little ones are also catered for at tea time with baby food and early dining for the kids at 5pm.
Choose from the option of family dining or if you want to have an adult-only dining experience in the wonderful restaurant there is also a complimentary baby listening system (or baby-sitting service in your room for an extra charge).
If it’s a little history you are after, visit the magnificent National Trust Rotunda and learn about the servants and workers who ran the estate throughout the ages (tickets are complimentary for guests staying at the hotel).
With so much on offer for the kids it might give the adults time to unwind and relax and maybe make use of the spa with a little pampering session. Treatments are available seven days a week, from full body massages including mud wraps, reflexology and hot stone massages. The qualified staff also offer pre and post-natal massages.
