Overview - Property ref RPPC
This beautiful holiday cottage is located in the New Forest National Park, close to the beach and 3 miles from Lymington, Hampshire. With such a fantastic spot, there is no chance of boredom here.
The cottage has a great garden with ready-made willow dens ‘twigloos’ and loads of outdoor toys. There are also two caravans, ‘Coco’ the full sized caravan is a great space for kids to play and doodle on the walls during wet times and the mini gypsy caravan, perfect for the under 9’s can be taken anywhere in the garden for some awesome imaginary play! The question is, will you be able to tear the children away from the cottage?
There is so much to see and do in the area including a sandy and pebbly beach only a 15 minute walk away. (There is also parking on the beach which is great for the little ones and grandparents) The beautiful National Park is on your doorstep to explore on foot or bike and the sandy beach at Milton-on-Sea and the Hurst Castle is a great place to have a stroll and a spot of tea at the castle tea room. Lymington also has it’s own swimming pool and lido saltwater pool (open in the summer only). There is a farm shop and activity centre at the local farm 10 miles away - children will love visiting the little farmyard friends! The french market is a must to pick up some bits for lunch and if the weather isn't great, the community cinema is fantastic for all the family. And if you would like a day trip out and your little ones are a fan of a certain pig, Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park is 40 minutes away where they can enjoy some attractions and rides. (Please see the Tots Top 10 for some more great ideas in this area)
After a busy day exploring and having fun down at the beach it’s great to come back to the house for some al fresco dining and sausages on the mini stove in the garden. The gastro pub next door will be a massive hit with the family – eat in or take out, it’s great if you fancy a night off from cooking.
The cottage has lots of equipment for babies and toddlers to include a bouncer, 2 travel cots, 2 high chairs a bumbo and loads of toys for all ages.
The owners have a selection of extra options available from organising creative play sessions for the kids to professional story tellers, magicians and songstresses for a special celebration. There is also a beautician who can come to the cottage and outside caters allowing you to relax and enjoy your holiday too. Celebrating something special? Try the Mad Hatters Tea Party, wild picnics or a dinner party. There is something for every special occasion. (Please just enquire with the owners)
There are four bedrooms in the cottage and a very cool 'shed' with four poster bed at the end of the garden, plus an en-suite bunk room which makes it great for families sharing or inviting the grandparents.
On the ground floor the sitting room has enough seating for 8-10 and the glorious woodburner will keep you warm on those chilly nights. There is an open plan dining room and fully equipped kitchen with large cooker and fridge- freezer, dishwasher and microwave and all the bits and bobs the family need for a break away. (Seating for 8 plus highchairs)
There is a super king sized bedroom on the ground floor which can also be split into a twin room and a kids room which has triple bunks and plenty of toys and beanbags. The middle and top bunks may not be suitable for small children so please check with the owner when enquiring to make sure this room would suit your family configuration.
Also on the ground floor is a shower room and toilet.
Upstairs there is a lovely super king bedroom with en-suite which has an over the bath shower. The second bedroom is perfectly set up as a babies room, there is a bed 6” off the floor so no worries about falling out! And you can also fit a travel cot in the room. This is great if you would like your little ones close to you when they sleep but not in the same room. It’s also good as a single room for larger groups.
Outside there is a ‘shed’, a very funky space for another couple which has a four poster bed and a little bunk room. There is also a shower room in the 'shed' making this property a 6 bedroom and 3 bathroom holiday home altogether.
The garden has plenty of space for the kids to explore: dens, caravans and twigloos as well as two stables home to some more toys, ride-ons and play equipment. There really is a lot of equipment here and if you would like to borrow it for your trip to the beach your more than welcome.
