Overview - La Garenne
La Garenne is a small collection of six holiday cottages is a perfect holiday choice for families with children of all ages, from babies and toddlers through to older kids. The family who live here all year round offer lots of services and activities that everyone can enjoy.
There is a heated swimming pool and smaller, also heated baby/toddler pool to enjoy, both of which are fully enclosed.
For under 5s there is an indoor soft play area with soft mats and toys, doors lead out to a wood decking area with seating for the adults to soak up the sun and relax while the kids play. It’s a good spot to contact home and share your pics on Instagram too as you will be able to get the Wi-Fi here. During May, June and September there is also a special play time for the under 5s once a week. This is a free activity, but parents must be present.
For over 3s there is a kid’s club, held once a week (there needs to be a minimum of 4 children for this to run), giving parents the chance to have a little ‘me’ time, pop out for lunch or wander around a local market. The kids club runs from 11am – 3pm, a lunch is supplied. The cost for this is 22 euros per child.
The kids swim club is always popular, lessons are run by an experienced and qualified instructor, so if your kids want to improve their swimming skills what better place to do it!
The garden area is full of toys, from ride-ons, climbing frames, swings and slides to table tennis and trees to climb.
For a little indulgence the owners can arrange a massage with an English massage therapist.
This family-friendly holiday complex is in the Charente Maritime surrounded by fields and beautiful views, there is hardly any traffic in the area so ideal for a family bike ride. The owners supply bikes of all sizes and baby seat, so the whole family can go for a ride.

There are six holiday cottages in total, renovated to a high standard but still keeping the French charm and all of which are baby and toddler friendly. Each cottage has its own patio area and the whole complex can sleep a total of 28 guests plus babies in cots. All have at least one private garden area and BBQs
La Belle Maison - 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6, 2 bathrooms with two outdoor spaces, front and back with lovely views and overlooks the communal garden and play area.
Pressoir - 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6 plus 1 on Z bed, 1 ensuite and 1 family bathroom, private garden and balcony overlooking the garden and pool
Jardin - 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4, double and bunk, 1 bathroom, two gardens, one overlooking the pool and main gardens the other private at the rear of the cottage
Le Grange - 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4, ensuite and family bathroom, two garden areas, one at front overlooking pool area and one at the back overlooking fields
Rosier - 2 bedrooms and family bathroom, sleeps 4 plus 1 on Z bed, private garden area overlooking the swimming pool
Masion Blanche - 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4, bunk and double, bathroom and private patio
