Overview - Trefeddian Hotel
Trefeddian Hotel is a family-run hotel in Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) in mid Wales. The Cave family have been running it since 1904 and won many awards and have an abundance of positive reviews online. If you are looking for a family holiday by the sea, if the kids love a bit of sandcastle building, flying kites and having fun, you won’t find a better location. The hotel has a great selection of rooms, (59 in total) sea view and hill view, superior rooms and family rooms and facilities at the hotel include: an indoor heated swimming pool, indoor and outdoor play areas, outdoor tennis court and stunning views across Cardigan Bay. There is a beautifully manicured 9-hole putting green overlooking Aberdyfi’s 18-hole championship golf course too.
The hotel is well laid out offering space for everyone to relax and unwind. There are four lounge areas to suit any time of day and bar snacks, afternoon tea and lunch time snacks can be enjoyed in any of them. The main family-friendly lounge is the hub, with views across Cardigan Bay and Aberdyfi Golf Course, the adults-only lounge is an area where you can relax reading a good book without being disturbed. The library is full of fun and games, and dogs are welcome in here too, and finally the bar, open all day, is an ideal place to socialise and unwind.
Children have the option of dining early or eating later in the evening with the adults, and can choose from the main dinner menu or child-friendly meal option (served until 8pm alongside the normal dinner menu).
It takes just five minutes to walk to Aberdyfi’s award winning beach and its four miles of beautiful sand. Many of the rooms in this child-friendly hotel offer sea views too.
The village is just a few minutes stroll from Trefeddian, a quaint seaside village, with lots to do for the whole family. Situated on the banks of the beautiful Dyfi Estuary, Aberdyfi is not only a beautiful location but home to excellent inns and restaurants and independent art galleries and boutiques.
