Overview - Gitcombe Estate - Garden House
Gitcombe Estate has 14 acres of stunning grounds to explore, with footpaths right on the doorstep leading to the surrounding countryside, while managing to pass a pub or two. This family-friendly estate offers fun and relaxation for all, with its indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and changing room facilities. Outside there is a hot tub with non-slip decking and a lounge area to relax in while enjoying the stunning views of the Dartmoor National Park.
On warmer days, enjoy the heated outdoor swimming pool located on a terrace in a sunny but sheltered area ( it is usually open from the last bank holiday in May through to mid-September, weather permitting). There is a championship tennis court, basketball net and a boules court for those looking to get competitive.
Under 5s will love the indoor soft playroom with balls and play shapes. There is also a toy shed where guests can grab buckets and spades, crabbing lines, body boards and windbreaks for a family adventure to the beach. For adventurous children there is a playground that has been hand-carved which includes a wooden pirate ship and tree house. There are even swings for everyone!

Garden House is a 4 bedroom detatched house sleeping 8 plus a cot. Large open plan living area with plenty of room for kids and adults to spread out. There is a cozy log burner, comfy sofas and armchairs - perfect for those cooler days. French doors open out onto a private terrace with views of the grounds and local area beyond, where you will find wooden garden furniture and a built in BBQ. There is a secret sun deck with relaxing loungers with a private pathway to the indoor pool. There is also a private drive way. There are 2 EVC points on the property - dont forget your own charging cables.
The open plan kitchen is well equipped for larger groups with a large island. The large rectory style dining table seats 12.
Bedroom one: Super king-size bed plus room for cot.
Bedroom two: standard double bed plus room for cot.
Bedroom three: small twin room, with two 2' 6" single beds
Bedroom four: compact twin with L-shaped cabin beds, suitable for under 12s only.
Both double bedrooms have en-suites, with showers and loos. There is another bathroom with shower over, WC and wash basin.
