Overview - Property ref CMC2KD
What a perfect location for this farmhouse amidst rolling fields yet on the doorstep of the beautiful Côte du Granit Rose. A mere 20 minutes drive from the award-winning seaside resort of Perros Guirec, this traditional Breton farmhouse is close to the picturesque Leguer valley and perfect for exploring the chateaux, forests and lakes of central Brittany.
You’ll be spoilt for choice with the activities and attractions on offer in the surrounding Côte du Granit Rose with its marvellous sandy beaches and great tumbles of pink granite rock, sculpted by the wind into strange shapes.
Children will be enchanted to hear that according to Breton folklore the rocks were home to the Margot-la-Fee, tiny reclusive fairies who tended their fairy cattle and sheep. You might have caught them sunbathing on the rose-pink stones and if you asked nicely they would share their bread and milk…
This is a spacious, two storey two bedroom gite, in a newly converted barn. It has double and twin bedrooms on the first floor, together with a shower room and toilet. On the ground floor there is an open plan living room and kitchen/dining area.
The gite is equipped with washing machine, electric oven and hob, microwave, TV with English and French channels, wood burning stove and electric radiators. The gite also has access to the internet. Children’s swings and slides can be found in the garden, along with the barbeque. Bikes are available for you to borrow. Children’s high chairs, baby cots, baby bath, and security stair gates can be provided on request.
On the south side, facing the garden, there is a sunny terrace for sitting and eating out. This garden view is framed by a variety of beautiful shrubs and trees – from the pinks and blues of the hydrangeas, to the delicate white flowers on the hibiscus tree. A grassed terrace on the north side looks out onto open fields bordered by our cider-apple trees. The nearest field is home to two donkeys, a pony, and a horse.
