The county of Lancashire lies to the north west of England and is often overlooked when thinking of planning a family holiday but there is so much to see and do. For larger animals try Blackpool Zoo. The Ribble Steam Railway is a must for budding train drivers and for water babes looking for an adventure the Sandcast Waterpark will deliver.
For a more natural family holiday Lancashire has an enriching landscape and lots of hidden treasures like the Bowland Fells and Pennine Hills. There are lots of cycle paths as well as hills to explore on foot or bike, with canals and waterways offering traffic free routes that are particularly pushchair friendly, there really is something for every member of the family.
