Overview - Coulscott House Holiday Cottages - Old Barn
Coulscott is a beautiful hamlet of family-friendly holiday cottages in Devon, located a short distance from Exmoor National Park and close to the North Devon coast. There are a total of six luxury holiday homes, all with private gardens, set in 17 acres of woodland, streams, and ponds, offer children and adults alike a natural playground to explore.
The Old Barn sleeps up to ten guests plus two cots and has its own private garden and hot tub. Guests also have full use of the facilities, which include an indoor heated swimming pool, indoor playroom, games room, outdoor play area with a pirate ship, and a two-story Wendy House. Peacocks wander freely, and there is a huge animal enclosure home to hens, ducks, alpacas, pigs, and goats.
Throughout the estate are communal tables and chairs, providing the perfect spot for a picnic or to take in the beautiful scenery. There is even a fire pit for those cosy evenings, toasting some marshmallows which can be purchased from the onsite honesty shop. Visit the outdoor garden kitchen and greenhouse where you can help yourself to fresh produce for those meals back in the cottage.
The nearest village is less than a mile away, and this winds down to a pretty sheltered beach. There are also plenty of beaches less than half an hour’s drive away. The village is home to local shops, eateries, and pubs.
