Holiday Tots recommendations when visiting Cornwall

As we recently went on a family holiday to Cornwall we thought we would share with you some quick recommendations on what to do when visiting, for a family with younger children…

1. Padstow, Rock and more!

Spend the day milling around Padstow. Enjoy an ice cream, take a ferry across to Rock, always a winner with little ones. Enjoy the beach, take a sea safari (some will allow babies, some only children over 2) go in search for Puffins. Go crabbing off the jetty and end the day with fish and chips by the sea

2. Beach day at Polzeath

Beach day at Polzeath, lots of surfers taking on the waves. Little ones can explore and play in the rock pools, take a picnic! There are some cute cafes and shops to have a mooch around too.

3. Day trip to The Lost Garden of Heligan

Visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan, a great day out for the whole family with secret gardens, rope bridge. Huge play area and more yummy ice cream or hot chocolate!

Where we stayed

We stayed in the most amazing holiday home, in Wadebridge, only a 15-20 minute drive to Padstow, Rock and Polzeath.

Hillcote was perfect for our group, it has 4 bedrooms, two living rooms, a large kitchen/diner and an enclosed garden.

Wadebridge has lots of cafes, bike rentals, shops, restaurants and is only a 5 minute walk to the Camel Trail.
