Overview - Libbear Barton - Toad Hall
Toad Hall is a beautiful Georgian Farmhouse with views across the fields and woods on Libbear Barton, a 40-acre estate located in North Devon. It is perfect for a multi-gen holiday with family or friends. Private garden with patio, BBQ, garden furniture and children’s play equipment.
There are seven bedrooms, sleeping sixteen (plus cots), including a lovely Goldilocks-style dormitory with four single beds and a cot, that the children will love! There is a choice of three reception rooms, two with open log fires and a large kitchen/diner with an Aga, the space is perfect to all dine together.
The facilities on site are endless for the children with an indoor swimming pool with its own inflatables and floats, soft play, playground with swings and a climbing frame overlooking the pond. The 5-acre Wild Wood is fantastic for exploring, have a splash in the stream or spotting some bluebells in the spring.
Libbear Barton’s games room is home to air hockey table, table tennis, pool and even a selection of DVD’s for guests to borrow when needing a little downtime. Above the Games room there is a playroom for younger children with games and toys. For the adults there is a gym and sauna open daily from 9am – 8pm.
With being so wonderfully placed for exploring Devon and Cornwall, there are some great attractions close by for the whole family (check out our top 10 for tips). Gorgeous beaches are just over half hour drive or a day trip to the Dartmoor National park.
Guests staying in Toad Hall can hire out The Stables for a small fee, an entertaining space ideal for a lovely dinner or party. The Stables can accommodate up to 40 guests for dinner and can also be hired for free for guests hiring the whole estate. Owner’s Max and Alex can help with catering options if needed. There are three other child-friendly holiday cottages available, all cottages have private gardens.
Dogs are welcome in some of the cottages outside of school holidays and must be pre-booked. If you want to take your four-legged friend, then mention when enquiring.
